Speaking to an audience of around 3000 at the Minneapolis Convention Center in Minnesota on Sunday, HH Dalai Lama assured that he was in good health.
The Dalai Lama who has been receiving prostate treatment at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota urged his fans, followers and Tibetans all over the world to be calm and happy.
Thanking the Tibetans and his followers for praying and initiating rituals for his recovery, the Dalai Lama said their prayers probably got answered.
“I am in good health and nothing to worry. Probably the prayers got ‘answered’ as there is a special connection between students and the teacher,” said the Dalai Lama.
Speaking about peace, love, and harmony and about his health, the Dalai Lama told the audience that peace of mind is most important to keep a healthy body.
“When I remove my glasses, I have been told I look like I am 60. What do you think?” asked the Dalai Lama with a big laugh echoing the convention center.
According to the Tibetan American Foundation of Minnesota, they initially requested for an audience with the Dalai Lama at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester but the Dalai Lama decided to travel to Minneapolis and graciously gave the three hour long teaching.
“From his facial expression, his laughs and his body posture, it is crystal clear that His Holiness the Dalai Lama is healthy and happy as ever,” said Namgyal Rabten, a member of Tibetan American Foundation of Minnesota.
“His Holiness has been coming to the Mayo clinic for check ups annually, and being in Minnesota, we feel so lucky to see him every year but some times it is so worrying when we hear of His Holiness making a visit to hospital,” said Tenzin Donsel, another member of the Tibetan American Foundation of Minnesota.
For security reasons, as of now it is not clear when the Tibetan spiritual leader will leave Minnesota. However, he is scheduled to visit Madison on March 8 for a religious program organized by the Wisconsin Tibetan Association,
