On assuming office as the Secretary of Department of Home, Wangdu Tsering accompanied by Tsewang Gyalpo Arya, Additional Secretary, DIIR, CTA paid a courtesy call to Honorable Minister of State Shri Kiren Rijiju, Ministry of Home Affairs at his chamber in Krishnamenon Marg, New Delhi on 26 December.

In the afternoon, the delegation called on Shri K.B Singh, Joint Secretary of FFR Division, MHA GoI and Shri Amrit Singh, Deputy Secretary at MHA’s NDCC building. Tsering Dhondup, Secretary and Karma Trinley, Deputy Secretary of Bureau of His Holiness the Dalai Lama accompanied them in the later meeting.

In the meeting, CTA delegation thanked the honourable Minister and the Joint Secretary for their continued support and guidance on Tibetan rehabilitation and welfare matters.

They updated the Minister and the Secretary on the situation and developments being made in the Tibetan settlements. They also apprised the Ministry of certain pending issues which the Minister and the Secretary assured early resolution and guidance.
